Board meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of each month, and are open to all DVQ members.

Claudia is a San Francisco-based modern quilt maker who has been drawn to the art since childhood. In the mid-2000's she discovered quilting and quickly became obsessed with the medium.
Claudia's quilts have been exhibited in local, national, and internationals shows earning numerous awards. She's a member of SAQA, The Modern Quilt Guild and the San Francisco Quilters Guild.

Our Outreach group meets the last Friday of most months to sew pillowcases and baby quilts for the many children in need around the Bay Area.
We will pin baste quilts and process pillowcases. If you plan to sew, please bring your machine and general sewing supplies. Kits are available for quilt tops and pillowcases.
Have you wondered what criteria a professional quilt judge uses when evaluating a quilt? Kitty will present how she when from a quilt maker to a quilt judge, and what makes for an award-winning quilt.
Kitty has been a quilter for over 25 years, and won numerous honors and ribbons. She treats her own patterns and designs and has a deep appreciation for the creative process. In addition to teaching quilting techniques and giving lectures, she created the California Sesquicentennial Children's Quilt Program. The program brought information on quilting and California history to thousands of school children.

Pillowcase Sweatshop - Note Location & Hours
April is our annual working meeting to sew pillowcases for Outreach - in lieu of a guest lecture.
We will be sewing pillowcases. If you plan to sew, please bring your sewing machine, and general sewing supplies. Fabric will be provided. You can also participate by ironing.

Sandra hasn't stopped sewing since she learned on her mother's treadle sewing machine. She took her first quilting class in 1990 has been hooked ever since.
She began her quilting business in 2010, combining her love of illustration, lettering and quilting. She's been an illustrator and letterer for 35 years. She loves to incorporate writing and drawing on quilts using her long arm machine.
