Treasurer | Sue Montero | The Treasurer manages monies in an FDIC-insured bank; pays all bills; keeps a record of all receipts and disbursements; and reports the financial status to the Board each month. |
Secretary | Reba Siero | The Secretary takes the minutes at all board meetings. |
Past President | Mary Carpenter | In the absence of the President, the Past President resides over Board and General Meetings. |
Community Outreach | Maryann Maiorana Reba Siero | Manages the many Outreach needs within the community. Pillowcases are distributed in coordination with "Ryan's Case For Smiles" an organization that distributes to children in hospitals and other places of need. Baby quilts are distributed to many organizations. Scent Hearts are made for babies/families in NICU. Manages purchase of fabric, cutting into kits, collecting sewn items and distributing to organization. |
Quilt Show 2024 | Reba Siero | Manages the quilt show hosted every other year. This includes booking a venue, recruiting members to stage and take down the exhibits, coordinating the volunteers needed to run the show. |
Welcome Committee | Welcomes members at the door for guild meetings and arranges the new member tea. | |
Membership | Joan Lucchese | Manages the membership of the guild, including renewals, new members and the directory content. |
Newsletter | Mary Carpenter | Compiles the newsletter and distributes it to members. The newsletter is sent out monthly by email (or mailed for an additional fee) |
Parliamentarian | Nancy Tietz | Acts as an advisor to the board to ensure productive meetings. Leads reviews of the bylaws and any changes to the board. |
Publicity | Promotes the guild, especially Fabric Follies and Quilt Show, through the distribution of marketing material via email, flyers, radio announcements to businesses, quilt shops, libraries and other guilds. | |
Website | Sue Montero | Maintains the website - creates content for upcoming meetings, events and activities. |
Workshops | Open | Coordinates workshops - manages sign-ups, sends out information for workshop, acts as host for the workshop |
Opportunity Quilt 2024 | Mary Carpenter | Coordinates all activities for making the opportunity quilts (roles can be split/shared) which is raffled at the end of year holiday party. Members can help with any part of making the quilt or selling tickets for the raffle. |
