Verna Mosquera is a pattern and fabric designer, business owner, and mother of two. Her company, The Vintage Spool, is located in Danville, California, where she runs it out of her studio. Her romantic and timeless aesthetic is featured in her textile designs, quilt patterns, and her book, A Sewn Vintage Lifestyle. She has taught quilt making in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 20 years and holds several Vintage Spool workshops for applique enthusiasts numerous times a year.

Verna will share her art training and heritage, how her interest in sewing led to quilting, and eventually to starting her own pattern company and developing fabric collections. She’ll share some of her quilts and what inspired them. In 2024, Verna will be celebrating the 20^th anniversary of The Vintage Spool!
