Outreach Quilts
Diablo Valley Quilters also provides quilts to the East Bay
Chapter of Project Linus. The goal of Project Linus is to
"provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to
children who are seriously ill, traumatized or otherwise in need"
through the quilts made by volunteers. The quilts are distributed
to area hospitals and centers for children.

and national charities. One of the projects recently embraced is
Rotaplast. Rotaplast international sponsors medical teams who
perform cleft palate/cleft lip surgery in central America, South
America and southeast Asia. The goal is to have each patient go
home wrapped in a quilt instead of a disposable plastic sheet. DVQ
has connected with the Benicia rotary who have adopted
Rotaplast as one of their Service Projects.
